Age Limit: 18 to 28 Years as on 1st January 2016. Age relaxation - 05 Years for SC / ST and OBC; 03 Years for Ex-Servicemen.
Name of Posts: Head Constable for Male and Female.
Pay Scale: Pay Band of ₹ 10300-34800 + Grade Pay ₹ 3200/-, and other allowances as admissible.
Education Qualification:
(a) 10 (Matric) with +2 or its equivalent from a recognized Education Board / University.
(b) The candidate must have passed Matriculation examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subjects or any other equivalent examination in Punjabi language.
Skill Test :
(On computer): English Typing with minimum speed of 35 words per minute on computer. (OR) Hindi Typing with minimum speed of 30 words per minute on computer.(35 words per minute in English and 30 words per minute in Hindi corresponding to 10500 key depressions per hour in English 9000 key depressions per hour in Hindi with average of 5 key depressions for each word on computer).
Physical Standards :
Height : 5 feet 7 inches for Male; 5 feet 3 inches for Female.
Selection Procedure:
1. Physical Measurement Test (PMT),
2. Physical Screening Test (PST)
3. Interview cum Personality Test
Examination Fee:
₹ 400/- for General (UR) Candidates; ₹ 100/- for SC / ST / OBC Category Candidates; No fee for Ex-Servicemen candidates. For depositing the fees, the candidate would have an option of either depositing the same online through Net Banking / Credit / Debit card payment or the candidate can deposit the fees offline manually by taking the print-out of the Fee Challan Form, which will be available online once the unique Registration ID is generated. The closing date for deposit of admission fee is 23rd June 2016.
